I recently attended the Murder Mystery Evening at St Nicholas House and it was a fantastic experience. The actors from 'Murder on the Side' were professional and engaging, and the interactive elements of the event made it even more enjoyable. The beautiful garden and friendly atmosphere added to the excitement. The evening was fairly priced, including 2 free drinks and a 3-course meal. I highly recommend St Nicholas House for a fun and unique experience.

We stayed at St Nicholas House Guest House for a weekend getaway. From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed. The room was spacious and beautifully furnished, with a seating area and a large bathroom featuring a luxurious corner bath and shower cubicle. The on-site bar was well-stocked, and the food was excellent, offering great value for money. The well-maintained gardens and outdoor seating area were a lovely bonus. The proprietor's local knowledge was invaluable, making our stay even more enjoyable. We would definitely choose to stay here again.
Totally recommend this hotel.

we stayed at a lovely guest house, it had a big room with a comfortable bed and the biggest, fluffiest towels. The bar area was cosy and the dining room for breakfast was stylish. Although the house was on a busy main road, the secondary glazing reduced the traffic noise, which wasn't a problem for me as a light sleeper. The family who ran the accommodation were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The 18th century Georgian manor house was beautiful and the garden was glorious. We especially loved the adorable family dog!
Can't think of anything 🤷♀️

The room was incredibly spacious with high-quality furnishings and a luxurious corner bath. the hotel itself was a grand old house with high ceilings and beautiful period features. the hosts were friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcomed.
The breakfast was not up to standard, with a limited menu and dirty cloths. the rule of not being allowed in the room between 10.30 am and 4.30 pm was inconvenient and left us feeling a bit stranded if we didn't have plans during the day.
